Structure of the Automatic Sewing and Laser Cutting Machine

CNC VINA's Automatic Sewing and Laser Cutting Machine is designed as an integrated system in which the mechanical assemblies, control system, Jig, sewing machine, and laser cutting unit work together according to a unified programmed sequence. The main components of the machine include the control system, Jig and motion mechanism, laser cutting unit, and machine frame and safety enclosure.

The machine is designed to allow a single operator to load and unload the products, while the sewing, positioning, and laser cutting processes are performed automatically according to the programmed sequence. To ensure accurate and consistent operation, the operator must follow the specified product loading procedure and complete the required machine confirmation steps.

Operating process of the Automatic Sewing and Laser Cutting Machine

The machine is designed to allow a single operator to load and unload the products, while the sewing, positioning, and laser cutting processes are performed automatically according to the programmed sequence. To ensure accurate and consistent operation, theoperator must follow the specified product loading procedure and complete the required machine confirmation steps.

Step 1: Load the Product onto the Jig

The operator places the product in the correct position on the sewing Jig, using the positioning pins on the Jig and the pins on the machine table to ensure accurate product positioning.

Step 2: Lower the product clamping Jig

The operator uses the foot pedal to lower the product clamping Jig. The sensor confirms the ON status before the machine proceeds to the next step.

Step 3: Confirm the positioning Pin

The operator activates the switch to lower the positioning pin on the machine table, releasing the position so that the Jig assembly can move into the sewing area.

Step 4: Perform programmed sewing

After approximately 5 seconds, the Jig moves into the sewing area. The programmable sewing machine performs the sewing pattern according to the programmed contour and the selected product model.

Step 5: Move the product to the laser cutting area

After the sewing process is completed, the Jig assembly moves the product out of the sewing area and transfers it to the laser cutting area.

Step 6: Perform laser cutting

The sensor confirms the operating status, and the laser cutting system begins the cutting process. The laser cutting head moves along the X/Y axes using servo motors, following the programmed cutting profile.

Step 7: Return the Jig to the initial position

After the cutting process is completed, the Jig returns the product to its initial position in preparation for product unloading.

Step 8: Open the jig and remove the product

The upper Jig opens, and the positioning pin on the machine table rises. The operator then removes the finished product from the Jig.

Step 9: Repeat the cycle

After removing the finished product, the operator loads the next product onto the Jig. The machine repeats the loading – sewing – positioning – laser cutting – Jig return cycle, enabling continuous production.

Applications of the Automatic Sewing and Laser Cutting Machine

Automatic Sewing and Laser Cutting Machine is suitable for production lines that require a high level of sewing repeatability, accurate contour cutting, and the ability to process multiple product models. The machine can be considered for applications in industrial garment manufacturing, as well as the production of fabric-based components or parts that require both sewing and contour cutting processes. Depending on the material, product shape, dimensions, and specific processing requirements, the machine programs can be configured to accommodate the production process of different products and applications. For manufacturers with high production volumes and stringent requirements for consistent product quality, an automated sewing and laser cutting system can help reduce dependence on individual operator skills while providing better control over the sequence and consistency of operations throughout the production line.
